Adventures of The Barn start here! In just a few days we will be cleaning, decorating and furnishing the interior ready for our first holiday makers. So how did this all come about? Well, as Julie Andrews once said, Let's start at the very beginning:- The Barn was converted into a 2 bed holiday let property just over 5 years ago. A few years on and work started on a new indoor pool to replace the outdoor pool that was part of Llangarthginning Farm (yes the name is a bit of a mouthful!). Work was delayed for a variety of reasons but 2020 saw the first fill of the pool, just in time for lockdown! Not just an indoor heated pool however, but also a hot tub, sauna, showers and changing rooms. Perfect when you have to work from home because of COVID. Oh and views to die for from that outdoor terrace! With the pool up and running, it seemed to be the ideal time to give the barn a bit of a revamp and to start making use of the wonderful world of online social media and so here I am: amateur website designer, social marketing 'expert' and booking agent. I read somewhere that writing a blog was a good way to generate interest in your site so I'm putting pen to paper, or fingers to keyboard at least. I can then sit back, relax and wait for the bookings to come pouring in :-) Unfortunately I can't show the inside of The Barn just yet, you'll just have to be patient for another week or so. But I can tell you that inside you will find a lovely, large, open plan lounge/dining/kitchen area with high ceilings up to the beams and large french doors that open up to an outside raised deck area and garden. Towards the rear is a large double bedroom with the main bathroom alongside. Upstairs is a large twin bedroom with a doorway through to a mezzanine that overlooks the lounge. The Mezzanine is ideal for up to two children to sleep on futon-style beds. So there you have it, our first official blog on the adventures of The Barn. We live in a lovely part of the world and we look forward to welcoming you as our guests at The Barn soon. Click here to get in touch and find out more, take care and thanks for reading this far.

The Barn is a complete haven and a very welcome place if retreat and rejuvenation in our current times. Derek and family have taken every care to provide a beautiful, well equipped and comfortable environment for our family to rest, Recharge and have fun. They really have thought of everything and are discretely on hand if we have any questions or requirements. Our first dip in the wonderful pool yesterday evening felt like we were the luckiest people in the world!
